Student Information

Everything You Need to Know

Whether you're planning your first lesson or already training with Peninsula Helicopters, this page answers many of the common questions students have before and during their training.

If you can't find the information you're looking for, please get in touch. We're always happy to help.

Before You Start

Starting helicopter training is more straightforward than many people expect.

You don't need any previous flying experience or aviation knowledge. We'll guide you through each stage of your training and help you understand what to expect as you progress towards your goals.

Whether you're training for recreation or a future career, we'll help you choose the pathway that's right for you.

Our Approach to Training

Learning to fly is a journey, not a race.

Everyone learns differently, and we'll work with you to develop your skills at a pace that suits your experience, confidence and goals.

Our aim isn't simply to help you pass a flight test—it's to help you become a safe, confident and capable helicopter pilot.
